“I discovered that my "perfectionistic blocks" get in the way of progress. However, the compassion and kindness of the instructor allowed me to not take my beliefs of failure too seriously and consider alternative options.”—Jillian Fabiani, SLP

🎨 Creative Wellness Classes

My intention is to create a space to reconnect with who you are, what is important to you, what lightens your spirit, what brings you joy and your life meaning. It is also my hope that you will find a new narrative: that your worth or value is not tied to what you produce.

In a world that often measures our value by how much we do, how well we perform, or how others perceive us, it’s easy to forget:
You are not here to prove anything. You are here to create the life you want and that is meaningful to you.

Through simple, sensory-friendly creative practices—like painting, layering art materials, collage, or mindful mark-making—you’re invited to reconnect with your own inner rhythm and innate creative self. The process becomes a quiet meditation, one that doesn’t ask you to sit still or silence your thoughts, but instead lets the doing of art guide you into presence.

We begin with breath. Or stillness. Or movement. Or curiosity.
Then we follow the paint. The texture. The color. The play.

As you work (or play), you’ll begin to notice: the process is the point. Not the product. Not perfection. Not productivity. Just you, in your own unfolding, and self discovery process.

You’ll also learn to stay with the “messy middle”—in your art and in your life—without needing to rush to an outcome. You’ll learn that “mistakes” might just be opportunities. When you start to find your flow, you may learn more flexibility and new ways of working through a problem with curiosity or how to trust your intuition. You’ll be gently reminded that your voice, your knowing, and your creative energy are enough. And always have been.

This is a space where:

  • You’re allowed to make mistakes.

  • You’re encouraged to “waste" time.

  • You’re invited to explore, play and create with freedom, trusting your own creative process and intuition.

  • You’ll be given tools to expand and develop your creative expression so that you can communicate more of what you want.

Because when we create from a place of authenticity, we begin to live from it too. And that’s the real masterpiece.

  • No art experience needed. All materials provided or easily gathered at home.

  • Classes are trauma-sensitive, neurodiversity-affirming, and designed for accessibility.

Rediscover the Magic of Play…

Create to Regulate, Rest and Recover

There is good evidence as to why engaging in more play-filled and creative practices are helpful, and there is a common misconception that engaging in play-based activities as an adult is childish or frivolous. What we call “leisure” activities, actually serve vitally important functions to your body’s ability to rest and recover, regain our nervous system’s and our body’s healthy balance, and has significant cognitive and emotional benefits for all stages of life.

Self Care and Personal Development

Taking time for yourself to engage in enjoyable, deeply engaging and meaningful activities is an important part of self care. We support our mental and emotional health and well-being when we spend time in play-filled, creative, or restful and enjoyable activities, such as art, hiking, baking, or engaging in a fun but challenging sport or game. Even work activities can have some benefits to our mental or emotional health if they are rewarding, creative, empowering, the just right amount of challenging and interesting, or fulfilling in some way. These types of activities can be a buffer to stress and enhances mood, which leads to improved memory and learning or increased productivity. We are able to be more open to learning, discovering new insights and challenging ourselves in ways we might not have otherwise when we are experiencing the benefits of engaging in activities that light up our hearts and that are engaging and interesting to us.

Antidote to Stress

There are many good reasons to explore how to build in more play-filled, or intrinsically rewarding experiences into your daily life. I would consider it the antidote to worry, frustration, multiple “adulting” obligations, stress and negativity! I would also advocate that similar to physical exercise in its role in having a beneficial function in our long-term health and quality of life, so also does engaging in activities that ignite the mind, body and spirit.

You are formally invited to start you journey to self care and a more authentic Bee-you-tiful you today!
