PracticeWell Circle
Peer circles for health care professions.
A supportive space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself, your work, and others who understand the realities of helping professions.
PracticeWell circles (reflective practice cohorts) bring healthcare professionals together in small, thoughtfully facilitated groups. Through guided reflection, meaningful conversation, nervous system support, and practical exploration, we make space to better understand what is contributing to stress, burnout, disconnection, and emotional depletion—and what may help restore capacity over time.
This is not another program asking you to work harder on yourself, do more, or squeeze one more thing into an already full life. It’s a place to slow down, feel less alone, and begin discovering more sustainable ways of practicing and participating in your work and the activities that restore you and bring you small moments of joy, calm and clarity again.
The goal isn’t to give you more to carry—it’s to help you build a more sustainable way of practicing and living one moment at a time. All you need to do is show up just as you are. You are invited to participate in ways that work for you, and at your pace and comfort level. Some days may look like listening and reflecting, some days might look like just participating in the mindfulness activities, and some days may be connecting with your peers. You are welcome to take whatever you need for your nervous system, personal or professional growth, or for your own well-being at that point in time.
A Space to Pause and Reconnect
This is not about striving for perfection or "doing more." It is a space intentionally created for helping professionals to step out of constant productivity, performance, caregiving, and emotional holding for others, and instead practice slowing down, reconnecting with themselves, and experiencing a different way of being.
About Practice Well
Rather than focusing solely on productivity or clinical performance, this space honors the humanity of helping professionals and recognizes that sustainable practice begins with self-awareness, nervous system support, connection, and meaningful community.
The Purpose
I
If you’re feeling exhausted, disconnected from the work you once loved, or wondering why everything feels so much harder than it used to…
You’re not alone.
Helping professionals spend so much of their time caring for others that there is often little space to care for themselves, make sense of difficult experiences or simply be with others who truly understand.
The Reflective practice Cohorts offer a gentle, evidence-informed space to pause, reflect, learn and reconnect—with yourself, your profession, and a community of people who understand the realities of caring work.
Together, we’ll explore not only what contributes to stress and burnout, but also the conditions that support sustainable well-being, meaningful work and renewed capacity, clarity and calm over time.
What We’ll Cultivate Together
Reflective Practice*
Develop a sustainable reflective practice that helps you make sense of your experiences, recognize patterns over time, and reconnect with what matters most in your work and life.
Evidence-Informed Learning
Explore research and practical insights related to burnout, reflective practice, nervous system awareness, meaningful participation, belonging and the conditions that support sustainable well-being.
Facilitated Peer Reflection & Meaningful Conversation
Engage in thoughtful conversations with other helping professionals in a space that values curiosity, compassion, and shared learning rather than judgement or performance.
Nervous-system Settling, Mindfulness practices and Personal Reflection
Experiment with simple reflective, creative and restorative practices—including expressive writing or journaling, nature-based reflection, mindfulness, and other evidence-informed approaches—that can be integrated into daily life. Notice what nourishes you and what depletes, with invitations to learn how to integrate practices into daily life, rather than creating another to-do list.
Seeing the Bigger Picture
Explore how our environments, workplace cultures, relationships and patterns of participation influence well-being, helping us move beyond asking, “What’s wrong with me?” toward “What conditions are shaping this experience?” Distinguish what is in your circle of influence and what isn’t.
A Community of Practice
Become part of a small community of helping professionals committed to learning, growing, and supporting one another as they cultivate more sustainable ways of living and working.
*Reflective practice can reduce professionally related stress contributing to burnout by enhancing self-awareness, processing topics like moral distress, fostering meaning, and strengthening peer support.

Bringing a Cohort to Your Team
Many organizations are looking for thoughtful ways to support the well-being and sustainability of the people who care for others.
Reflective Practice Cohorts can also be offered in partnership with healthcare organizations, schools, and community agencies as part of a professional development or staff well-being initiatives.
If you’re a supervisor, manager, educator, or organizational leader, I’d be happy to provide an information sheet that explains the purpose of the cohorts, what participants gain, and ways organizations may be able to support attendance through professional development funding or protected learning time.
Additionally, I offer a group rate for groups of 3 or more that sign up through the same organization.
